01-11-11- I just thought it would be nice to post some the press that has shown up for BURIED. Here it is!
"Scouts Honor’s Buried (Thinker Thought) is a rip-roaring album of sludgy blues and angular post-punk. Incendiary, inspiring lyrics burn through the fist-pumping assault of “Arise,” and punctuate the gritty riffs and jittery tension of “Men Of Money.” A swelling, cathartic release bursts free when Jared Grabb lets his lungs loose on “Sweating Through Our Days,” and you’ll get lost in the mesmerizing drone as Scouts Honor repeat a single riff on an unlisted track for nearly 30 minutes to close the album." – Patrick Conlan of Illinois Entertainer
"After getting his ya-yas out for seven years with his darkly heavy, Melvins-like metallic- post-punkers Scouts Honor, Chi-town singer-songwriter Grabb returns to the folk-pop of two earlier solo records that coincided with their 2002-2003 launch. Otherwise, Where’s rootsy, ear-friendly music, with its slabs of picked acoustic, banjo, mandolin, and keyboards, would have been a jarring surprise. Perhaps after 442 (I dig precision!) screaming gigs with SH before their cessation last year, he found it refreshing to relax, and the inflections of outlaw country and ‘30s blues keeps Where as inviting as earnest lyrics such as “The only place I wish to be is pressed up to your body”—balancing icy suicide ‘n’ murder ballads a la Mississippi John Hurt, Carter Family, Johnny Cash, and Nick Cave, in the tragic “Stuart Nelson” and maniacal “True Blue."
"Speaking of Scout’s Honor, it’s hard to shift from the considerable space and thought, and even bolts of tenderness on Grabb’s new work to the bitter bludgeoning that his old band doled out—let alone the bracing juxtaposition of Grabb’s Ian MacKaye-like bellows versus his countryside folk voice. But those brave enough to try it will find some sludgy, screaming skull catharthis on Buried, the trio’s third and final LP. The promo sheet’s claim that it is the band’s “heaviest, most abrasive” effort is easily born out by the black harsh riffs and peeved vocals, as if the band wanted to go down raging against their own demise. It comes with a DVD documentary chronicling the band’s history and farewell gig, March 29, 2009." - Jack Rabid of The Big Takeover #66
"Scouts Honor went through a bizarre transformation over the course of their discography. While they started out playing country-heavy folk-punk, there were tinges of metal and dirty soul that might have hinted at something else. This is probably what it was hinting at, but it's still interesting that for their final full-length, Scouts Honor has emerged as a noticeably sludgier, occasionally repetitive stoner rock act.
"On Buried, the band plow through a smokey sound that puts them on a plane closer with Melvins and early Torche. In "Sway," frontman Jared Grabb is nearly howling like Danzig as triumphant, mighty guitars are wielded with big, muddy riffs sloughing through. The intensity goes on an upward trajectory as the band move into "Vultures" and then "Books of Bokonon," with shredded backup vocal assistance from bassist Ernesto Castillo and the latter of these songs a fierce, sloppy motorcycle brigade of sorts.
"Sometimes Scouts Honor are kind enough to give us a reprieve from the aggressive ash of the album's aroma. "Men of Money" starts out sounding like a possible jangled acoustic folk-punk break before it lurches into a typically riffy beast; but it does pick it up into a punk rock tempo soon, retaining Grabb's southern snarling over it. "Arise" actually chooses to utilize this pacing too. It's a much-needed "break" of sorts.
"Unlike those aforementioned bands, though, Scouts Honor is pretty concise with what they do." - Brian Shultz of PunkNews.Org
04-03-10- BURIED IS OUT NOW! Buy it at Interpunk or your favorite digital store (such as iTunes) now!
02-10-10- "Vultures" (a new song from BURIED) has been posted on our myspace. WE ARE STOKED FOR MARCH 9th!!!
01-19-10- The movie trailer for our upcoming DVD (part of BURIED) has been posted. You can check it out on our label's youtube. We have also posted our cover of Planes Mistaken for Stars' "Division" on our myspace.
10-02-09- We posted a new song from our upcoming CD/DVD on our myspace and facebook. The song is titled "Arise". The album/DVD is titled BURIED and will be coming out on March 9, 2010 via Thinker Thought Records.
Those of you attending The Fest in Gainesville, FL over Halloween weekend can catch former frontman of Scouts Honor, Jared Grabb, performing live at Flacos on Sunday, November 1st for free.
06-30-09- "BURIED" is mixed and mostly mastered. Jared is designing the artwork and getting ready to compile videos for the release now. We're hoping to have the record out by Halloween (Gainesville Fest 8!). We don't know what record label will be releasing it at this time, but most likely Thinker Thought Records (Jared's label) or No Idea.
05-23-09- The final tour was a blast. There was so much love around. We can't thank you all enough. It was a wonderful experience and we are very grateful.
While we are done doing playing music together, there is still a final album coming out later this year called "BURIED". It is a ton of new material that we recorded during the last tour and had been writing before. Please keep on the lookout.
Otherwise, look for David in Pallbearer and Jared playing solo (Jared Grabb). Erny should have a new project up and running soon.
03-04-09- Tour dates for our final tour have been posted on the "in the field" page. We leave in 2 weeks. This is going to be a BIG party.
12-18-08- I suppose I need to come out and make an announcement for Scouts Honor. The band will be traveling for its FINAL TOUR in March 2009. After six years of doing this band and fighting to keep it's line-up filled, I've decided to call it a day. Around the release of 2006's I Am The Dust, I was struggling to keep things afloat. In the course of one year, Scouts Honor played 150+ shows with four different drummers and two different bass players.
Finally, after moving to Chicago, I found a new Scouts Honor "family" in David Dobbs and Ernesto Castillo. We had written most of an album, toured Europe, and just had a blast joking around in the van. Well, in recent months, our drummer David returned to Arkansas for family reasons, greatly limiting his activity with a band based out of Chicago. He has decided to return to college, keeping him in Arkansas until 2010. Meanwhile, our bassist Erny is focusing more and more on his career. I no longer have an interest in teaching new members to play old songs. It just doesn't seem like Scouts Honor is a good use of my time anymore. So, I'ved called it.
Scouts Honor's final tour will take us down to SXSW in Austin, TX and around the Midwest in March of 2009. We will be recording a final EP of new material during the tour to be released after the band's breakup. If you would like to follow each of our musical projects after March, David will be rocking in Har Meggido, Erny will be rocking in a new project called Dorsia, and Jared will be touring with an acoustic guitar and releasing his 2nd solo album.
Thank you all so much for your support over the years. I've slept at a lot of houses, rocked a lot of shows, and drank a lot of alcohol with you. I can never thank you all enough for sharing this dream, whether you played in the band, sang along, hung out, bought a record, cooked us food, recorded our music, released our music, or put us up for the night. Thanks.
-Jared Grabb/Scouts Honor
11-21-08- Scouts Honor is taking a break for the winter. David needs to spend some time in Arkansas with family for personal reasons. We plan to be back on the road in March for a SXSW tour. So, we'll all get our drink on then. In the meantime, if you want to catch us, we are playing ONE (1) show next month in Peoria, IL for The Serpent Son's comeback show at The Meeting House with The Forecast and Devil's Pie. It should be a huge show and a great party. We hope to see you there.
PS- I (Jared) had a blast with everyone at Gainesville Fest over Halloween weekend. It brought back the good ol' days.
09-20-08- We have some new(ish) stuff out.
1) A new Peoria scene compilation titled "Playing In Peoria: Another Side Of Town" is now available with a new recording of Scouts Honor covering Floor's "Return To Zero."
2) Our early EPs and 7" have recently been re-released by Thinker Thought Records digitally, so you can download them from you favorite online store (iTunes, Amazon, Rhapsody, eMusic, etc.).
Oh, and we're going to lay low this winter to write some new material address some family issues, so if you want to check us out live, make sure to head to either Riot Fest in Chicago or Gainesville Fest 7 in Gainesville, FL. Cheers!
07-27-08- Oops. We kind of let this go again. For more consistent updates, you can always check out our myspace page.

12-10-07- Hmmm... Where to start? Scouts Honor finally has 3 permanent members again. You may have seen our drummer David Dobbs (Chicago via Little Rock, AR) playing with us over the last few months. Well, we've also found a bass player. His name is Ernesto Castillo (Chicago thru and thru) and he rules. He'll be making his first live appearance at our shows in January.
As for the website, we've posted new videos and photos, as well as tour dates. Cheers!
09-30-07- Tour dates have changed around a bit.
09-11-07- Stream the entire Scouts Honor discography!
09-05-07- Scouts Honor is getting ready to play some shows again after 6 months without. We've reformed in Chicago and will be doing a week of shows with Low Red Land in October.
We have also made all of our records streaming on our "Song" page. Cheers!
07-02-07- You can can still get the new 7"/comic from Short Pants Press and Interpunk as well as from No Idea Records, Revelation, and Very.
In other news, Scouts Honor has relocated to the gritty, busy city of Chicago. Look out for local and national shows again in the Fall.
And sadly, Kent Wagenschutz has decided to leave the band, but... he is planning his wedding for September! Many congrats to him and his wonderful lady.
05-07-07- You can now but the new 7"/comic online from Short Pants Press and Interpunk!
04-30-07- So, we're finally home after two months on the road. We have a new 7"/comic out with Grant Reynolds (Smith 7 Records) that should be available for purchase online soon (keep checkin up!). Jared is moving to Chicago. Kent is leaving the band. JW is going back to his full-time band, Mayhew The Traitor. Here are a couple pics from tour:

02-08-07- Scouts
Honor is gearing up for tour again. Tour dates are up. Please help if
you see a date you can fill. Love ya!
11-24-06- We just finished another successful tour. Thank you to all of our amazing
friends and fans for making it a wonderful experience. We even recorded
a new 7"/CDep!!! If you haven't met them yet, Kent and Bob are amazing
dudes and Colin (merch/roadie) is of equal sweetness. We hope to have
the new songs out by spring (in time for us to take down to SXSW). Have
a wonderful holiday season. We will. :)
10-16-06- We
have anounced the dates on the first leg of our Fall tour which inludes
appearances at Fest V and at CMJ New Music Marathon. We will share the
stage with a variety of acts including No Trigger, New Mexican Disaster
Squad, Fifth Hour Hero, New Bruises, Jena Berlin, and Rescue. We will
aslo be selling a new t-shirt design from which all proceeds will go to
benefit Teach For America.
09-23-06- We
are proud to announce that Scouts Honor has taken on a new bass player
by the name of Kent Wagenschutz. He is currently commuting from Memphis,
TN and runs a sweet record label called Armada In Flames (which was responsible
for releasing our 7" and split with Burning Love Letters). Kent is
awesome and deserves your love.
Scouts Honor is still in search of a permanent drummer, BUT we are proud
to announce that Bob O'Neil (Polar Bear Club) will be filling in on drums
for our Fall touring, including our date at Gainesville Fest V. Rock!
08-17-06- We
had our final show with Chris Mackey and Kevin Rendleman. Both of them
will be headed to college this Fall. The band is reforming at the moment
but should be back on tour in October and November. Thanks, dudes, for
being a part of this. See the tour journal for more info.
Updated shows. Updated photos. Updated CD reviews. New vinyl LP of "I
Am The Dust" now available.
07-25-06- Dates
have been announced for the second leg of our summer tour. We will share
the stage with a variety of acts including a few dates with Polar Bear
Club (ex-Marathon, current-Achilles members) and Empty Orchestra.
While we are currently touring with a "fill-in" drummer (Kevin
Rendleman), we are still in need of a permanent drummer since the departure
of Tom "Atomic" Satterfield. Anyone interested should contact
the band at j@thinkerthoughtwrong.com
or through our myspace.
07-11-06- Home
again! Tour with Against All Authority was amazing. We couldn't have asked
for a nicer bunch of dudes to take us out on the road. Thanks especially
to Danny for sticking it out and rocking to crowds night after night while
diagnosed with Chronic Asthmatic Bronchitis AND to KEVIN RENDLEMAN for
rocking the drums for the tour (he'll be with us in August as well). Also,
thank you to everyone who took care of us or hung out. We had a great
time. Highlights included Danny Diablo, Leftover Crack, Push Pull, and
The Human Abstract.
06-14-06- We
leave on tour again in 9 days. We've been practicing with Kevin (formerly
of Peoria's Declaim) and should be good and ready for our tour with Against
All Authority. We're looking forward to seeing all of you soon.
06-07-06- We
finally finished our 3rd leg of our Spring tour (10 shows), thus making
our Spring tour total up to 70 shows in 3 months. Not bad. :) Arsonick
Scum was a blast to have a long. Everyone was amazing to us all Spring.
We can't thank you enough.
UNFORTUNATELY, there is sad news to announce. After more than 2-1/2 years
with Scouts Honor, Thomas "Atomic" Satterfield has decided to
step down from the position of drummer. We're hoping to have a statement
from him up in time. In the meantime, I (Jared) can say that Tom is one
of my best friends and he is leaving on good terms. I am greatly indebted
to him for all of his efforts within the band. Please check out Atomic's
other projects, The
Amazing Kill-o-watts and Tina Sparkle. Our friend Kevin will be filling
in on drums for the summer touring (we're out with Against All Authority
in June/July and we're doing our own tour in August). We are currently
looking at drummers to fill the drum position full-time.
05-15-06- The
2nd leg of tour (36 shows) was amazing and tiring, like running a marathon.
Thank you to everyone. It was especially awesome to play another hometown
show. PEORIA, ILLINOIS, MUTHAS!!! We leave
again on tour today. This is for the westerners...
03-30-06- The
first leg of tour (24 shows) went swimmingly. Thanks to all for putting
us up, feeding us, rocking with us, and partying with us. We've been home
for a whole 4 days and now it's time to hit the road again...
03-04-06- I
just wanted to post a big thanks to everyone who came out to the show
last night at the EP Legion. It was truly amazing (300 kids!). Thank you
so much.
02-18-06- We're
gearing back up for tour. Check out the tour dates.
It's high time we turn this country on its side.
01-30-06- THERE
ARE BUNCH OF NEW PHOTOS UP!!!
12-19-05- Scouts
Honor is finally home from our Fall Touring. We're very proud to announce
that we performed 72 shows between August 23rd and December 16th. Not
bad for an little midwestern band booking their own tour!
We'll be taking a break though the end of the year, but we'll be back
in January with some big stuff happening. 1ST, we are gaining a 3RD MEMBER.
His name is Chris Mackey. We've known him forever and he's no stranger
to life on the road, as he spent 5 months this year on tour with The Forecast
as a tour manager. 2ND, it would seem that a certain Florida record label
has agreed to put out our next full-length record. Keep you eye out for
the release date announcement.
12-02-05- We're
back on tour! Come see us!!!
11-05-05- It
just keeps coming. Thanks to everyone who has come to the shows over the
last couple months. We're headed back out on the road again after a week
of Halloween parties and local shows (thank you both Peoria and Bloomington
kids for being so good to us). Please come out and have a good time with
us at these southern shows. Also, thanks to DYLAN
STANFORD, we have now have an amazing music video to "PRISON
BARS." Check it out and let us know what you think!
10-03-05- So,
we successfully finished a month of touring and then vacationed at home
for a WHOLE FOUR DAYS. Now, we're back out on the road with a new 7"
record in tow thanks to ARMADA
IN FLAMES. We're headed to the West Coast
this time, so you California girls had best get ready! Haha. Oh boy...
OH, and we've posted a couple tracks from the upcoming "I AM THE
DUST" for a limited time only on PureVolume
and MySpace.
08-26-05- Tour
starts today. Wish us well. And, if you live in a city we're playing,
you had better come out and give us kisses.
08-22-05- Recording
and mixing are complete for our 2nd album ("I AM THE DUST").
This thing will rattle yer sack.
08-12-05- We are mid-way through recording our 2nd album with Mike Lust. It's gonna
rule. Be ready for some rock. The album will be titled "I AM THE
DUST" and should come out this winter. Oh, and tour plans with the
Forecast seem to be falling into place...
07-19-05- We have a 7" coming out in time for tour in August. Our pal, Kent,
at Armada In Flames seems to think we would sound good on a phonograph.
We agree. The songs that will be featured are:
A SIDE- "Letting Blood Go Bad"
B SIDE- "Nowhere Is Always Somewhere"
The release will also feature photos by Jenn VanBrooker and inner illustrations
by Grant Reynolds. Oooohhh, Aaaaaah!!!
In other news, Scouts Honor will be entering the studio to record a 2ND
FULL-LENGTH from August 8th to the 21st! We'll be recording with Mike
Lust. If you're in the Chicago area, get in touch and come hang out with
us at the studio. We need clappers, stompers, hooters, and hollerers.
06-30-05- A
few things to talk about:
1) Got a great live review of our performance in Indianapolis with Dysrhythmia,
Angelville, and Camp Climax for Girls in Journal
Review.
2) Got a sweet record review and photo
printed in New Scheme #12.
3) You can buy the Solid PR Presents CD now on BestBuy.Com
and get a new track of ours.
4) This compilation has already received mentions in the press from Rolling
Stone, Alternative Press, and Punknews.
06-06-05- Got
a sweet review in Roctober #40. You can check it out in over new reviews
section (which may also be visited by clicking on press for a given
release on our "song" page).
05-28-05- New
review in Impose
Magazine. We're currently writing our new full-length to be recorded
in August with Mike Lust (Ten Grand, William Elliott Whitmore, Wilco,
Camp Climax for Girls, Tight Phantomz). TOUR BEGINS IN LATE AUGUST!!!
04-14-05- The
tour with Camp Climax for Girls was awesome. Hung out with some good people
and played some great places. There's a bunch of photos from the tour

03-19-05-
YAY! The record's out and here's
a review! New merch and a tour coming soon! Thank you so much to our
friends who have been talking to us and emailing us with their support.
You peeps make Jared all teary-eyed.
03-06-04- Well,
the record is almost out in stores. The 15th, baby. Pretty exciting. We
have some press on the way. A show preview will be in NYC's Village Voice
before our show in April and Modern Fix will be profiling us as well.
Random reviews... We finished recording a new track for a compilation
OTR Records as well. The track is titled "Nowhere Is Always Somewhere"
and you can expect to see it out in May/June. Sweet.
01-28-05- Photos
and tour dates have been updated. We're doing our best to keep busy. Thanks
to everyone who's helping us out with shows and to everyone who came out
in support of the DiLeonardi family. You're all amazing.
12-23-04- Just
added an account on Garageband.com for mp3s. So, you can now check us
out at 5 places. Maximum exposure, right? We've also decided when we'll
be going on tour! APRIL 2-10!!! So, if you live east of IL and could help,
PLEASE drop us a line. In the meantime I'm booking weekends up like mad.
They'll be posted soon.
12-20-04- We
have new shows and a set date for the release of "ROOTS IN GASOLINE".
We're hoping to have Armada In Flames still do an LP of it, but we'll
just have to see... Oh, and THANK YOU to all our MySpace friends for adding
us and giving us all the lovely comments and mail!
12-05-04- Mad
updates. New photos are up. New MP3s are up. We're now on Myspace, PureVolume,
and soon to be HXCMP3. The show in Normal last night was fabulous. We
have a new album coming out in the Spring. Listen to MP3s on our download
sites. Dude, I'm way too busy.
11-07-04- Horrah! "SIX SKELETONS", the split CD between us and BURNING
LOVE LETTERS is finally out! The CD release show was a great success and
a good time was had by all. Thanks to everyone for supporting and to Kent
and BLL for making it happen. Oh, and there are
some new photos up from July and September
by DAVE CROW. Thanks, duder.
10-11-04- Some
new photos are up from the Chicago trip. We had a great time. The Transmission
Gallery was sweet (along with all the bands we played with there), and
we can't forget to mention how much we love spending with our friends
Hailey, Tyler, and Mary Ellen (among others). Don't forget to check us
out with the Jet Set this upcoming weekend!
10-07-04- Shows have been updated. We're rocking the greater Chicago area this weekend,
so be there. We will rejoice together. The split should be at our
merch table starting on the 15th (though, it is officially released November
4th), along with new t-shirt sizes and a free comic by Grant Reynolds
that utilizes the lyrics from "Highway Son".
09-26-04- We're
continuing to book weekends playing out of town. If you are in Illinois or a state bordering
Illinois and would like us to play your town, please drop us a line. We
love to rock you.
09-21-04-
So, the release date for the split CD has been moved back a month (it
is now November 4th), but we've still got a ton of gigs in October at
which we will hopefully have the CD ahead, while outside Peoria. We're
still diligently shopping the full-length to labels as well. We're looking
forward to rocking a bunch next month.
08-30-04- Here's
the dealy, yo: We've got a split CD with BURNING LOVE LETTERS coming out
next month. The CD is titled "Six Skeletons", has illustrations
by GRANT
REYNOLDS, and is the first release on our good friend Kent's
record label, ARMADA IN FLAMES.
In conjunction with the release of the new split, Scouts Honor will be
hitting the road
around the Midwest. They'll be sharing the stage many of the nights with
THE JET SET and THE
FORECAST, who you might recognize as formerly being Jared's
"other" rock band.
Also, we are also still shopping "Roots In Gasoline" to record
labels and hope to have it in your hands by late winter. We promise it's
worth the wait.
06-28-04- "Roots
In Gasoline" has been recorded and mastered. It sounds amazing and
we can't wait for you all to hear it. You won't be disappointed. It's
leaps and bounds beyond the last recording. Thanks to everyone who appeared
in the studio as guests or loaned equipment or bought beer or brought
food. We're going to be shopping the record to labels for the next month
in hopes of finding one to release and support it in November of 2004.
We hope to hit the road again on tour around this release date.
ALSO, we will be recording 3 more songs in the next couple weeks to be
released on a split record with Peoria's BURNING LOVE LETTERS. Our friend
Kent will be putting out the record as the first release on his label
in August of 2004.
Oh, and make sure to come to the show on Friday for the "IF IT PLAYS..."
CD release.
05-16-04- We're
currently in the studio with Stan Wood recording "Roots In Gasoline"
(our first full-length release). Wish us luck!
04-20-04- Ahhhhh...
We're home from tour. It feels good to see everyone at home again. This
tour went very well, thanks to our amazing booking dude, Dustin (Bare
Arms Booking). We just had a blast. Especially out west. We got such a
warm response out that way. Some bands that we loved sharing the stage
with included The Great Redneck Hope, The Autokinoton, White Dynamite,
Everyday Victory, The Ocean As Mistress, Watch It Burn, Jehovah Chang,
Minsk, Dead Like Dallas, and Inspector Owl (just to name a few). Thanks
to everyone who came out, put on a show, or let us crash at their place.
Looking forward, Scouts Honor will be playing a show at the Cyber
Cafe on May 1st with the completely-rockin' Camp Climax For Girls
along with Arson Kings and Youth Class. We'll also be heading into the
studio in May with Stan Wood at Volume
Studios in order to record our debut full-length CD ("Roots In
Gasoline") for Thinker
Thought Records. The band
will then be headed back out on tour in July to warm people up for the
October release!
03-26-04- Tour
is finally here again! We're so excited. Check out the tourdates
so we can all hang out. Also, you may or may not have heard that Jeremiah
has left the band due to tour availability and money issues. Atomic and
Jared will be continuing on as two-piece (which we think sounds more amazing
than ever!) and Jeremiah is now playing with Frances England.
In other news, you can expect to see a full-length CD from Scouts Honor
on the merch table this summer and in stores in the Fall. They recently
signed wtih Thinker Thought Records and have arranged to record the album
with Stan Wood at Volume Studios in Chicago, IL. Sweetness.
Peace and SEE YOU SOON!!!
02-27-04- The
shows have finally been updated. We have a rough tour itinerary up for
next month as well. Shizzle.
01-16-04- We
finally got the tour photos up so you can all
see the adventure. We even included a "tour pussy" section.
How scandalous! Hope you get a kick out of it. Note some of the sweet
rockers we hung out with like Rescue and The Little.
01-03-04-
Happy New Year! We hope it was a great time for all of you. By the way,
our mp3s are up at www.soundclick.com
now. Stupid mp3.com.
12-23-03-
We're home! Tour was a great time. Thanks to everyone who made it
possible. There is much love to be shared between us. Special thanks to
The Little and Rescue for being tour pals and helping us get on good shows
when we had none.
Now we're gonna try to take a small break from shows and write some new
material and play shows with our other projects. So, if you want to see
us any time before February, make sure to come to the January 2nd show
at the East Peoria Legion Hall. Shizzle and love, love, love.
Oh, and you can still read all 3 of our journals if you would like to
know more about the tour. The links are to the right under highlights.
Expect us back on the road in March and April. :)
12-5-03- We're gonna have a couple tour journals up, so go read 'em
and respond all that shizzy...

12-1-03- New photos are up. We leave for tour on Friday. Yowzers...
11-23-03- Just wanted to post on here that the show in Wisconsin was
a blast. Thanks to Fed By Fiction and Wilmot Proviso for making it feel
like home. And, thanks to everyone who had a good time rockin' with us.
We'll be back as soon as we can make it up!
On the down side, we hit a deer on the way home and have to get further
repairs done to the van before tour. Poopers.
11-20-03- Oh, man. I can't even believe this... We recently found
out that the tour booked for us is five shows. We're fighting desperately
now to save what we can on our own. If you can help fill any empty dates
with anything on this tour, it would be appreciated like no other. We
are managing to piece together some stuff, but we definitely need your
help. Email Jared at j@thinkerthoughtwrong.com.
PS- We love you all very much. Thanks for supporting Scouts Honor. If
you're viewing this as fan, you might as well think of yourself as a member
of the band. This isn't about 3 guys. It's about an entire community of
hard-working, love-making, life-living people. So, go to a local show
and rock out like a motha.
11-07-03- Yeehaw!!! Scouts Honor has a new website for y'all fancy
people (and for the rest of us using the library's internet). Although,
our email doesn't work yet, so j@thinkerthoughtwrong.com
will be how to reach us for any correspondence until further notice. If
you've been around lately, you know that we're doing a lot of stuff right
now.
First, we have new members. The band is now Jeremiah Lambert (formerly
of Angeltread), Atomic Satterfield (currently of The Amazing Kill-o-watts),
and Jared Grabb (currently of The Forecast). These guys know how to rock,
so come out and give them some rock'n'roll love.
Second, we leave on tour in less than a month. We're going south for the
snow season. Sounds a like a sweet deal, eh? Check out the tour dates
for more info. Maybe you can help? We're always in need of a place to
sleep, ya'know.
Thirdly, we have a bunch of new merchandise. Jeremiah's been designing
new stickers and buttons, while I (Jared) have been making t-shirts. We
still have the 6-song demo, but the packaging is getting a facelift before
tour, so keep a lookout for that.
Oh, and long-term news is that we'll be on the upcoming REDEMPTION RECORDS
compilation WA VS. IL. We'll also be featured on the upcoming THINKER
THOUGHT RECORDS compilation IF IT PLAYS.... It's gonna be sweeter than
even Willy Wonka can afford.
So, finally, thanks for stopping by. We hope you enjoy your visit and
come again soon. |
